How much Benadryl should I give my 7 pound Yorkshire Terrier?

My husband and I are taking a vacation that will consist of a 6 hour car ride and will be bringing my seven pound Yorkie along with us.

The only problem is that she gets carsick.

My dog's veterinarian has already told me that it was safe to give her Benadryl, but I can't remember how much of the medication she is supposed to have for her weight.

I really can't afford another vet bill right now, but don't want my poor pooch to be sick for the entire trip nor do I want to deal with the clean up.

Can anyone help me by telling me exactly how much Benadryl per pound should be given to a dog?

For a 7 pound Yorkshire Terrier , you can give 10 mg of Bendryl every 8 hours.

(consultation with a vet is always advisory).
